I am a multidisciplinary artist with over 15 years of experience in the visual arts. I hold Master of Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and a Master of Science from Politecnico di Milano in Italy. From 2022. I have established my own practice as an independent full-time multimedia artist, creating original authorial and commissioned work. My work has been featured in over 40 local and international exhibitions, including notable venues such as the largest billboard in Times Square, Art in Space gallery in Dubai, and Mad Arts Space in Florida and are part of private collections across the USA, Europe and Asia. I also have a professional background in design and programming.
In my artistic practice, I address topics such as war, cultural trauma, power dynamics, and their reflection in the intimate micro-narratives of everyday life. My art is inspired by the history of Balkans, a landscape of perpetual historical conflict that drives her exploration of war as a machine of destruction. I create from my experiences and dreams to critique broader systems of power and the micro-violence embedded in everyday life.
The narrative of my work integrate vibrant, childlike imagery and characters as a dispositive to dark humor. This gap reflects the innocence and playful nature of youth with the often unsettling violence that underpins societal complexities inscribed in the individual from the early childhood. By juxtaposing these elements, I aim to create a tension and confront uncomfortable truths about power, identity, and the human experience.
Rather than focusing on formally coherent approach, my artistic process integrates diverse methods across a wide range of media, merging traditional techniques like painting and drawing with digital art forms such as processing, and generative art. I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can push the boundaries of creativity and I am interested in challenging conventional artistic practices, experimenting with new technologies and exploring their role in our rapidly advancing technological society.
