Naive Box

Naive Box

About

The work is a multimedia object with VR 360 video display on the screen. Through physical contact, picking up the box and moving in space, the virtual space inside the box also moves in real time. The scenes that are shown are, to a certain extent, sketchy, childish and naive, with a witty narrative, reminiscent of the pre-Oedipal period of life and hiding a certain tragedy. Reflecting on the concept of the abjection (Julia Kristeva’s “Power of Horrors”), with the narratve and the content of individual works, I had an intenton to remove the tendency of the observer for a search for the ratonal, leaving no space for wider contextualizaton of the presented scene. Perhaps they resemble surrealism, yet they can not be classifed in a certain context of fantasy, surrealism or Lacanian quotes. Their detestable and disturbing can not be legalized in this way. This absence of context and indeterminacy is my way and an atempt to place characters and narrative out of normatives, to create a crack that breaks in the same way that the box shakes the dichotomy that stands between the two spaces. Monitor of a box is broken, thus this destructive moment suggests both split between spaces in a physical way and enternal tendency for chasing other side of consciousness.
